The Happiness Patrol Episode Thirty: I Only Came For The Dancing

The Happiness Patrol CONTEST WINNER!!!!!!

Congratulations to Melissa Ray Davis our Happiness Patrol Contest Winner!
Melissa's entry came the closest to the way Steven Moffat crafted 'The Big Bang'.
She wins the fab prize of the first three issues of 'Doctor Who Weekly' from 1979!

All of our entries were tons of fun to read, but with Melissa's mention of the Doctor timestream jumping, Dale and the rest of us decided she came the closest!

Here is here entry:

"Hello everyone,

Here is my guess for your contest as to how the season finale will resolve:

In "The Big Bang," the Doctor will cross his own timeline into the
events of previous episodes in order to plant several seeds to change
the future. Two of these trips will be to Amy as a child (Eleventh
Hour) and to talk to Amy during the events of Flesh and Stone. These
trips make it possible for Amy to do something at a key moment that
will either:

cause the TARDIS never to explode and the cracks never to happen,
creating a time loop / paradox that will save the universe.

or cause the reality that was created from Amy's memories (Pandorica,
etc.) to break down.

I believe we already saw one of the Doctor's trips across his own time
line in Flesh and Stone. When the Doctor comes back to comfort Amy in
the forest, he is wearing his jacket. The jacket that the angels have.
The jacket that isn’t in any other forest scene. I think this was a
future Doctor. And he stresses that Amy must trust him, and must
remember what he told her when she was 7, which I think may have been
something future him told her in a scene we haven't seen yet. See my
screen caps here:
http://www.fallingstar.net/host/tardis/doctors_jacket_in_flesh_and_stone.html

Bonus: The Doctor and River's relationship will progress to something
more definite/defined.

That's my theory. Oh, and for the record, as per your query in the
last podcast, I am one "fan girl" who would prefer that the Eleventh
Doctor keep his towel on, thank you. (Between him and Pertwee, I think
we've seen enough of the Doctor showering!) :-)

Sincerely,
Melissa"

Melissa, those Doctor Who Weekly's are on there way!
Congrats and thanks for listening to The Happiness Patrol!

It's Birthday Time!

Here at The Happiness Patrol we strive to bring you the most entertaining Doctor Who podcast we can! Every week we report on the latest news from Doctor Who Fandom.

The Happiness Patrol is a collective group of informative folk who all started as Facebook friends. Tara and Lewis were members of the original 'Tardis Rebuilders' forum started by Mr. Dale Who.

Dale is an AMAZING man and The Happiness Patrol is EXTREMELY lucky to have him on board as co-host! Each week we are totally in awe of the amount of information about Doctor Who Dale possesses in his head!
Not only is he a Tardis rebuilder, Dalek driver, K-9 owner (and does a spot on impersonation of our beloved tin dog)
He is also a most beloved friend of Lela, Tara and mine.

People need to know this because Dale, turns an unknown age today!
Unknown because being a Timelord himself, it can be quite troublesome keeping up with all the comings and goings and timey-whimy business of birthdays!

BUT, we do know this:

Today is Dale's birthday!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DALE!

So join us in raising a glass to celebrate the birthday of our favorite Happiness Patroller!
Happy Birthday Dale!
Here's to many more!

Luv,
The Happiness Patrol!

The Happiness Patrol Episode Twenty Eight: Go-Go Van Go-Go!

Hey there and welcome to The Happiness Patrol's review of 'Vincent and The Doctor'.
This seems to be everyone's favorite episode of this season...so far! Dale, Lela, Tara and Lewis whitter on about the correct pronunciation of Vincent Van Gogh, try to understand the mental and physical illness that plagued the artist, reckon that the licking of too many paintbrushes might have had some effect, and talk about the pleasures of being a redhead.
AND, remember, there is only a few more weeks before the season finale of Doctor Who which means your time is growing shorter for getting your entries into The Happiness Patrol Give Away Contest! So hurry up! Tell us how you think the season is gonna end! If you are the closest, you will win the FISRT THREE ISSUES of Doctor Who Weekly! (NOT MONTHLY-THESE ARE FROM 1979!!)
So jump on it, baby!
Sit back, have a drink, and enjoy The Happiness Patrol Episode Twenty Eight: Go-Go Van Go-Go!
